The Mooresville Park and Recreation District provides quality parks, pool and other facilities, open/natural space, programs and services. The Mooresville Park & Recreation District park system comprises five parks within the Town of Mooresville. We strive to maintain a small-town character through quality parks, facilities, open/natural space, programs, and services that will enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all the citizens of Mooresville.

At Mooresville, we pride ourselves on having schools with a small town feel and big time opportunities for students. Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation consists of Mooresville High School (grades 9-12); Paul Hadley Middle School (grades 7-8); Neil Armstrong, Newby Memorial, North Madison, Northwood, and Waverly elementary schools (grades k-6), and preschool options at two schools. The school district also has college credit, credit recovery, and online course options for high school students.
The district includes residents of Brown, Harrison, and Madison Townships in Morgan County, Indiana. More than 4,300 students attend Mooresville schools.
Mooresville High School maintains one of the highest graduation rates in the state among large Indiana high schools. The district also includes innovative Project Lead the Way STEM programming, more than half of graduates earning honors diplomas, purple star designations (citing commitment to service for veterans and military members) at all schools; and more than half of the teaching staff with a Master's Degree in their field of expertise.
Mooresville is also the leading school of choice in Morgan County, with hundreds of families choosing Mooresville over their home district or other education options.

Live Performers igniting your imagination and delighting your senses. Our Concert Series brings in performers from the United States, Canada, and the world. We are a non-profit and rely on sponsorships and grants to bring first-class entertainment to Morgan County. Our shows are rotated in Martinsville, Mooresville, and Monrovia to provide our audience variety in venues as well as entertainment. Each year we strive to bring five (5) shows to Morgan County during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. The past few years we have been delighted to welcome the Indianapolis Wind Symphony for a Christmas show that is unsurpassed!
Ticket prices are out of this world!! Where else could you get first-class entertainment for a mere $10 per show as a subscriber. Subscriber tickets are $50 for a five-show season. Tickets at the door are $30 and all music students of a Morgan County school are admitted "free."

We are the series you will not want to miss. Our offering of fall, winter, spring liver performers will ignite your imagination and delight your senses! Season 2024-2025 finds us celebrating 30 years of providing performers from around the world to Morgan County. This seasons performers are Jared Freiburg & The Vagabonds featuring Rock & Roll, Blues, Country and Jazz from the 1950's (October 26, 2024), Letters from Home, a USO style show (November 5, 2024), Indiana Wind Symphony providing their fantastic Christmas concert (December 11, 2024), Paolo Schianchi, master of all existing variations of the guitar from Renaissance lute to electric featuring his personally designed 49-string guitar (March 13, 2025), and Sail On, a Beach Boys Tribute (May 5, 2025).
We are a non-profit organizations and provide these concerts through subscribers, donations, and grants.

We are a weekly newspaper with a simple mission — to be the source for news from every corner of Morgan County.

Our ownership group consists of nine county residents, all united in our belief that local news is vital to the fabric of our community. An informed citizenry is an aim of the highest order, and we want to lead the effort to keep folks informed and to spur the community’s conversations.

Providing year round sports: basketball, bowling, track & field, bocce ball, softball, flag football, corn hole, and soccer. Our coaches provide 8 weeks of practice for Traditional teams, unified teams and skills. Ages 8 years and older to compete at tournaments. Morgan County has Athlete Leadership council and participates at Athlete Leadership University at Butler for those athletes 16 years and older.

Morgan County Substance Abuse Council is driven by the desire to see positive change happen within our community. MCSAC provides free programming to people of all ages throughout the county in an effort to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance misuse by adults and youth.

Additionally, MCSAC recognizes that substance misuse overlaps many areas of concern. To address issues such as mental and emotional wellness, suicide, and human trafficking, MCSAC offers education and resources to Morgan County residents throughout the year. MCSAC is a connecting agent to other organizations in and around the community.

As the Local Coordinating Council appointed by the governor of Indiana, MCSAC also has the honor of awarding grants to local community organizations that are working hard to combat substance misuse in Morgan County. Grants are awarded in three distinct sectors: prevention, treatment, and criminal justice. These funds are collected through Countermeasure Fees that are ordered and collected by the court system. Countermeasure fees can be ordered against any person who is charged and found guilty of a drug or alcohol offense.

Our mission is to provide evidence-based prevention, education, and advocacy in Morgan County in the areas of substance misuse, human trafficking, suicide prevention, and mental wellness.”
