  A partnership made up of Morgan County organizations has created a new fundraising t-shirt to benefit small, locally owned businesses in the hospitality sector to help them cope with the real-world difficulties of the current global pandemic. Created by Visit Morgan County and the Martinsville Chamber, this “I Love Local” t-shirt design highlights the importance of supporting local businesses. Employer Information: For Large Layoffs due to COVID-19 and other Resources for employees and businesses

To Employer Contacts: If your company is planning a mass layoff (50 or more), it would assist the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) if you could provide employee specific information. This will assist DWD in processing unemployment insurance (UI) claims more quickly for your impacted staff. The information requested is: Full Name of Employee, Employee SSN, Last Day Worked, Amount of deductible income paid to claimant upon layoff (vacation, sick, PTO, etc).
